Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MusicFundr ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of the MusicFundr website, web application, and mobile application (collectively, the "Platform").

By registering, accessing, or using the Platform you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use MusicFundr. If you are under 18 you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

By using the Platform you represent that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete, and that you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at legal@musicfundr.com if you suspect any unauthorised access.

We reserve the right to disable or suspend any account at our discretion, including for breach of these Terms, suspected fraudulent activity, or extended inactivity.

You may not create more than one account per person without our prior written consent.

Artists retain full ownership of the music and associated artwork they upload ("Content"). By uploading Content to MusicFundr you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, transcode, stream, display, and distribute your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform.

You warrant that: (a) you own or have all necessary rights to the Content; (b) the Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights; and (c) the Content complies with all applicable Nigerian laws.

We reserve the right to remove Content that violates these Terms or applicable law without prior notice.

All payments on the Platform are processed by Paystack Technologies Limited, a licensed payment provider. By making a payment you agree to Paystack's terms of service. MusicFundr does not store your card details.

Votes and donations are non-refundable once confirmed and credited to the recipient. If you believe you were charged without authorisation, contact us within 48 hours.

Artist earnings are held in a MusicFundr wallet and may be withdrawn to a verified Nigerian bank account. Withdrawals are subject to a minimum amount and are typically processed within one business day. MusicFundr does not charge a withdrawal fee; standard bank transfer fees may apply.

We reserve the right to withhold payouts pending verification if we suspect fraudulent activity or a breach of these Terms.

Contests are governed by the rules published on each individual contest page, including entry requirements, voting period, prize pool, and revenue split. These contest-specific rules form part of these Terms.

Artists may not vote for their own entries, directly or through third parties. Detected self-voting will result in vote invalidation and may result in disqualification and account suspension.

Contest results are based on verified Paystack vote transactions. Results are final once the contest closes. We reserve the right to cancel or modify a contest in exceptional circumstances with appropriate notice and refunds where applicable.

You agree not to:

• Upload, share, or stream content you do not have the rights to
• Manipulate contest votes or streaming counts through artificial means
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform without our written permission
• Impersonate any person or entity, including other artists or MusicFundr staff
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security or access-control mechanism

The MusicFundr name, logo, branding, software, and all content produced by MusicFundr (excluding user-uploaded Content) are owned by MusicFundr and are protected by Nigerian and international intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any MusicFundr property without our prior written consent.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, your profile and public content will be removed. Wallet balances above the minimum withdrawal threshold will be paid out to your registered bank account within 14 business days; smaller balances will be forfeited.

We may terminate or suspend your access at any time for breach of these Terms, illegal activity, or any reason we deem necessary to protect the Platform or its users.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to the Platform and accept no liability for any downtime, data loss, or service interruptions.

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, MusicFundr's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the total amount you paid to MusicFundr in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
