The Sound of the Streets is a fan-powered music platform where fans support artists by voting with money. This is not just a competition — it is a system where:

• Fans support artists financially
• Artists earn from their audience
• The community decides who rises

By participating (as an artist or fan), you agree to these terms.

Artists

To join, the artist must fulfil the following criteria:

• Be between 18 and 35 years old
• Be based in or active within Alimosho (for this pilot)
• Create and submit original music / content
• Complete registration properly

Fans (Voters)

• Anyone can vote as long as they make a valid payment
• You must use legitimate payment methods

1 Vote = ₦1,000

• There are no free votes
• Every vote is a financial contribution to an artist

Important:

• All payments are final
• Votes cannot be refunded once completed (except in the case of proven technical errors)

Every vote is shared as follows:

• 50% → Artist
• 30% → MusicFundr (platform)
• 20% → Operations

Example: 100 votes = ₦100,000 — Artist earns = ₦50,000

Note: Artists earn from every vote received. Top 3 winners do not receive vote earnings — they receive prize money only.

At the end of the competition:

• 1st Place: ₦500,000
• 2nd Place: ₦300,000
• 3rd Place: ₦200,000

Winners are determined by the final leaderboard.

The competition runs for 3 weeks:

Week 1 – Activation

• All artists participate
• Minimum of 10 votes required to continue

Week 2 – Momentum

• Competition becomes more intense
• Leaderboard ranking matters

Week 3 – Domination

• Final stage
• Highest earners emerge as winners

As an artist, you agree to:

• Promote your profile actively
• Encourage real people to vote
• Avoid any form of cheating or manipulation

You must NOT:

• Use fake payments or stolen cards
• Manipulate votes or use bots
• Upload content you don't own
• Engage in abusive or illegal behaviour

If you break the rules:

• You may be disqualified
• You may lose your earnings
• Your account may be removed

• Payments are processed via Paystack
• Artist earnings are paid after the competition ends
• All earnings are subject to verification

• You still own your music
• By joining, you allow MusicFundr to promote your content and use it for marketing and publicity

• Leaderboards are updated daily
• Rankings are based strictly on paid votes
• MusicFundr aims to keep the system fair and transparent

We are not responsible for:

• Payment issues from third-party providers
• Network or internet failures
• Losses caused by rule violations

We may:

• Update these terms
• Modify the competition
• Cancel or adjust the programme if necessary

This platform operates under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

By participating, you confirm that:

• You understand how the platform works
• You accept these terms
